Who is better wilshere or ramsey

He gets in great positions when he does this and creates opportunities. Sometimes, though, he is caught out of position, like against Liverpool earlier this season. In this game, he was lined up in central midfield.

If he was playing right-wing and was caught out of position it would not be as severe as being caught out in the midfield. Instead, he is pushing the ball through the center. He does make runs behind the striker but is never drifting outside of his position like Ramsey. Instead, they could focus on upgrading the defensive midfield position. Although it is an enormous ask to change the formation just to have two players in the same team, it may lead to more success.

The formation that would be ideal for the two to play together in is a In this formation, Wilshere and Ramsey would be level as both would be central midfielders. This formation gives them both cover below them in a defensive midfielder. Whether this player is Xhaka, Coquelin, Elneny, or a new signing in January like Fabinho, these two will be able to have more attacking freedom with this cover behind them. Another advantage of this formation for Jack and Rambo is they will have pacey wingers to make runs.

Another highly possible scenario is Wilshere being used as a super sub in late game situations where Arsenal are pushing for a winner or crawling back for a draw. In these situations to get a more attacking flow, Wenger could switch to a and bring on Jack. Ramsey has received much praise for his form over the past year, whilst Wilshere has taken a battering in the press, but he did receive some support from an unlikely source recently. Former Tottenham Hotspur player Darren Anderton defended him, saying that he had all the talent to be better than Ramsey he just needed to be given time.

He is a similar player — if not better in terms of quality. The words provide a much-needed bit of praise from Wilshere, who is starting to see the pressure mount on him. That means the fact that both players having a high pass completion percentage in their defensive side of the pitch is important. That may seem contradictory, but it is not.

As I stated, the fact that they both have a high — in fact, identical — completion percentage in their defensive third indicates that they have similar abilities when it comes to being able to complete a pass.

However, as Wilshere progresses up the field, he seems to become more risky — which is good for someone playing a position where creating goals is a crucial element of the game. As was stated in the opening paragraph, neither player is known as a prolific goal scorer. In fact, between the two of them, they had just one goal the entire season, so their worth is based on creating chances and controlling the play, and the chart below leaves little room for argument: Wilshere is superior to Ramsey when it comes to creating chances.

The simple fact that the two men totaled just 9 clear cut changes in over combined minutes of play means that a difference of 3 is hardly statistically significant.

A lucky break here or an unlucky break there for one or the other is just as likely of an explanation for the difference as one actually being better at creating clear-cut chances for his teammates. Another stat that has little significance is crossing accuracy. So with all these things in mind, in the area of creativity, even though he has a lower pass completion percentage, Wilshere gets the nod in this category because of his ability to create more chances than Ramsey.

No points for either. In the area of passing, Ramsey seems to be more accurate, but Wilshere is more creative and useful. Ramsey deserves credit for having more accuracy than Wilshere, but in the end, Wilshere is the one who creates the chances, so he ultimately gets the nod in this area.

After all, Ramsey has proven to be a more accurate passer than Wilshere, but Wilshere seems to have the mental edge on Ramsey because of his willingness to be aggressive on attack while being better disciplined than Ramsey on defence.

Most would argue that having a solid midfield is the most important thing to build a team around, and these two players give Arsenal a chance to do that. Ramsey returned to action against Swansea and while he was generally ineffective in that match, he bagged a hat trick in his following match against Everton in what has to be one of the best midfielder performances in some time.

Does the team need a swivel midfielder who can help in the transition game or do they need a world-beater who has the indelible ability to score and assist with ease? The Gunners need to strike fast, be in the right places and, when the opportunity comes, for the love of God, just put it away looking at you, Danny Welbeck. Ramsey is a threat to goal, he is a workhorse, a game-changer and a conduit.

Wilshere is a pivot, a determined individual and a craftsman. Each has their use, each has their benefit.
